Buhari meets Tinubu twice in 48 hours
The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with President Muhammadu Buhari for the second time in 48 hours behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday.
Though the agenda of the meeting has not been made public, presidential sources who spoke with Nigeria Today disclosed that the meeting was about the ongoing crisis in the All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to the source, President Buhari was hell-bent on finding a solution to the issues raised by some aggrieved governors following the fall-out of the APC primaries.
“Everyone is worried, the president does not know who to believe, we have Okorocha on this side, Oshiomhole on this side, there is a lot of confusion and infighting which may cause a serious problem if not addressed immediately,” he noted
“The President understands the strength of Tinubu as the national leader of the party and believes strongly that he can negotiate and find a common ground that would not cause APC the 2019 general election,” he added
