Fayose Arrives Federal High Court In LagosTo Begin Trail On Alleged Fraud Of N2.2bn
Accompanied by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials, he arrived the court’s premises at about 8.30am amidst armed police officers.
It is believed that the court session should start around 9am.
Fayose was brought to court straight from the EFCC custody, where he had been detained since last week after he submitted himself to the anti-graft agency, shortly after he lost his immunity from prosecution.
The former governor is facing an 11-count charge of conspiracy and money laundering.
Fayose is being defended by a former Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN).
