I Rob people of Motorcycle or Other Valuables Anytime I’m Broke – Suspect Says
The suspect, Manyan Gimba who was arrested by the Niger State Police Command with a Bajaj motorcycle valued at N230,000, said he had stolen several motorcycles which he sold to meet his financial needs.
The 24-year-old robbery suspect from Angulu village, Katcha Local Government Area, said he connived with his accomplices to rob people of their motorcycles at different locations in Wodata village, Agaie Local Government Area of the state.
Punch Newspapers reported that his arrest came after he dispossessed one Gimba Idrisu of Wadada village of his Bajaj motorcycle. Speaking to newsmen, Manyan said:
“Frankly speaking, any time I cannot meet up with my personal needs, the thing to do was to dispossess people of their motorcycles or other valueables that can fetch me money quickly.
“Since I’m unemployed and there is no job anywhere, I had to engage myself in a thing that would fetch me money for survival, either negative or positive things, I don’t mind,” Gimba explained.
The suspect was arrested on Sunday by a team of police detectives attached to Agaie Division according to the Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, he will charged to court after investigation.
