Boko Haram victims get N320 million farm inputs for wet season
Victims of the Boko Haram crisis in North East states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe have through the Victims Support Fund VSF taken delivery of assorted farm inputs worth N320 million to commence this year’s wet season farming.
Chairman of the fund and former Chief of Defence staff Theophilus Danjuma made the declaration yesterday in Madagali, Adamawa state.
According to Danjuma who was represented at the flagging off of the rain-fed farming intervention by the spokesperson of the VSF, Alkasim Abdulkadir, the intervention was meant to provide succor victims of the Boko Haram attacks who no longer have any means of livelihood, but are intent on going bac to farm.
He cautioned the beneficiaries of the intervention program against sharp practices as the inputs were meant to help them rebuild their lost farmlands and livelihood.
