Breaking: Abuja court grants bail to former NSA Dasuki
A former National Security Adviser NSA to former President Goodluck Jonathan who has being under investigation for misappropriating monies meant to fight insurgency has been granted bail.
Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) who has been on trial for a while now was granted bail todao Monday by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja in the sum of N200m bail bonds and two sureties each in like sum.
Presiding judge Ijeoma Ojukwu in her ruling said both sureties should be public servants of not less than Grade Level 16, with an initial deposit of the sum of N100m to be made to the bank account of the court.
She ruled that the former NSA’s detention without trial is a violation of his fundamental rights as provided by the 1999 constitution as amended.
