Buhari wants Senate to confirm Magu’s chief of staff as EFCC Secretary
President Muhammadu Buhari wants the Senate to Confirmed Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede, the current chief of staff to the Acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission chairman (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu as the Secretary of EFCC.
In a letter to the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki dated September 10, 2018, Buhari noted that the confirmation was in accordance with Section 2 of the EFCC Act.
“In compliance with the provision of Section 2 (3) Of the Economic and Financial Crimes (Establishment) Act 2010, I write to request for the confirmation of Olanipekun Olukoyede. for appointment as the secretary of the EFCC.”, the letter reads
“While looking forward to your usual expeditious consideration of the distinguished Senate, please accept, Mr. Senate President, the assurances of my highest consideration.” the letter added
