INEC is not partisan, no one can rig Ekiti election – REC
The Resident Electoral Commissioner REC in Ekiti state Abdulganiyu Raji has assured that the July 14 governorship elections in the state cannot be rigged, given the level of I.T sophistication the Commission has deployed.
Speaking yesterday in Ido-Ekiti at a town hall meeting, the REC who was represented by the Electoral Officer in Ido/Osi local government of the state, Ajayi Olusola, said INEC was prepared to monitor the election electronically.
“INEC is not partisan; we are fair to all parties. We are going to monitor the voting electronically. No one can rig election with the kind of ICT we have put in place and we are going to monitor the activities of parties to ensure that we have a peaceful poll,” he stated.
Accordimngly, he urged the citizens of the state to ensure they collect their Permanent Voter Cards PVC’s, so as to make their voices count in the state’s electoral process.
