Shehu Sani unhappy over Abacha loot disbursement
Kaduna state Senator Shehu Sani seems to be displeased over the manner in which the Federal Government has decided to share stolen monies recovered from former military ruler Sani Abacha stashed away in foreign countries.
The Federal Government had last week announced its plans to share the money to poor Nigerians, under it Conditional Cash Transfer scheme.
While some Nigerians consider the action of the government humane, Senator Shehu Sani is displeased and took to his official twitter handle to express his displeasure.
“When the future generation asked the question what happened to the loot, they will read that it was recovered. And when they asked what happened to the recovered loot, they will read that it was shared to people known to people in power,” he tweeted.
Sani had before now advised that the money should be used in the execution of certain national projects which every Nigerian would see and be a beneficiary.
