Nana Udom finally breaks silence
…as Councillors reaffirm support for Gov Emmanuel

The essence of creating grassroots Mobilization unit by Akwa Ibom State Government, was justified on Thursday January 3, 2019, when the Governor’s Aide on grassroots mobilization – Deacon Ndiana- Abasi Nana Udom played host to the House Leaders of the respective local Government legislative councils in Akwa Ibom State.
Breaking the silence after his appointment, Nana Udom shortly after dedicating the new office complex of the Grassroots mobilization Unit in Uyo, had a close door meeting with all the House leaders of Local government Legislative Councils.
In his remarks, the Governor’s Aide while thanking the House leaders for honouring his invitation, applauded them for the good job done so far, and promised to parley with them to ensure that the 329 Wards in the State reelect Gov Udom Emmanuel and all other PDP Candidates during the 2019 general elections.
Unveiling the plans of his office, Nana said “our Paramount duty is to synergize with the core grass rooters, that is why we inaugurated this office with a meeting with the House Leaders of all the Local government areas. We will soon commence a town hall meeting in all the 31LGAs so as to know the 2015 Promises of our Governor that has been fulfilled and the ones in progress”.
Nana while Promising to make the best use of these few days remaining before the election, vowed to preach the gospel of PDP and Governor Emmanuel in all the nooks and crannies of the State.
Speaking with pressmen, the Akwa Ibom State Chairman of Councillors Forum – Barr. Bassey Bassey who doubles as the House Leader ITU LGA, described the appointment of Nana Udom as timely. Barr. Bassey also promised a cordial relationship between all the Councilors and the Governor’s Aide on grassroots mobilization.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of the forum and Oruk Anam LGA House Leader, Hon Raphael Jameson, expressed satisfaction with the creativity of Deacon Nana Udom, he reaffirmed the determination of the forum to mobilise support for the reelection of Gov Udom Emmanuel.
The Uyo LGA house Leader Hon Nathaniel Udo (Land Lord) who revealed that Uyo LGA has over 212, 000 registered voters, stated that over 70% of those votes are already secured for Gov Emmanuel. Udo revealed that all hands are on deck to see that a greater percentage of the remaining votes are secured for the PDP. Promising to work tirelessly for the reelection of Gov Emmanuel, Hon Udo also noted that the surest way to return power to the Ibibio tribe is to reelect Gov Emmanuel and as such, pledged unalloyed support for the grassroots mobilization unit of the Akwa Ibom state government.
All the local government council leaders who attended the meeting expressed determination to double their efforts in canvassing support for all the PDP Candidates.
