Gov Udom Emmanuel has not anointed any consensus candidate in Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency

The Lead contender for the 2019 Ukanafun/Oruk Anam federal constituency seat, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) – Deacon Ndiana-Abasi Nana Udom, has described as false and misleading, the rumours making rounds in some quarters of his constituency, that Gov Udom Emmanuel has anointed a candidate from the PDP for Ukanafun/Oruk Anam federal constituency, come 2019 general elections.
The most widely endorsed Aspirant stated this on his social media page on Monday, September 3, 2018.
Deacon Udom who described such political strategy as “the losers’ format”, exclaimed that his counterparts who had failed in their many attempts to blackmail him decided to use the Governor’s name to deceive the delegates so as to win their hearts, having lost out in previously adopted strategies. Hear him: “They have tried all forms of blackmail, like: He will go to APC if elected, He will do this, He will do that, yet the Governor paid deaf ears to them. His excellency even informed the party to issue a stern warning to Aspirants, not to use his name in falsehood, yet In Ukanafun, some people are still saying that the Governor wants to install them”.
Speaking further, the recently anointed Deacon of Qua Iboe Church, expressed surprised that even the ‘acclaimed Governor’s candidate,’ is not still at rest. “If the Governor anoints me for a position, I will go home and sleep, but I am surprised that people who claimed the anointing of the Governor, are still going round wards. Why not relax and wait for the party’s flag since you have been anointed already” Nana Exclaimed!
The most friendly and accessible Aspirant, charged his counterparts to desist from accusing the Governor. He admonished them to channel the time and resources used in telling lies into consulting the right People, as the Governor knows that Ukanafun is for all, and the move to adopt a consensus candidate may have some destructive consequences on the party, especially at a time like this, when Ukanafun yearns for the restoration of peace.
Nana Udom as fondly called also reiterated his faithfulness and loyalty to Governor Udom Emmanuel and the Peoples Democratic Party. “I will remain here in PDP till the day my Governor says it’s time to move to another political party”.
The most popular Aspirant who expressed optimism on the restoration of peace in Ukanafun, also called on his supporters to remain calm, as the primaries remain the only avenue to choose a flag bearer to represent the PDP at the general elections.
