PDP welcomes more defectors as Prince Ikim empowers constituents

Today November 3, 2018, history was made in Oruk Anam LGA, when Traditional Rulers, Elders, youths, Students and women of Ward 11 in the area, shot down all economic activities and daily pursuits, to give a rousing welcome to their son – Hon Prince Akpan Ikim, who recently got appointed and sworn-in, as the Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency – AKSEPWMA, by Governor Udom Emmanuel.
The event took place at Mkparawa Martha Udom Emmanuel’s Square, Ikot Akpan Udo (his Country home ) in Ward 11, Oruk Anam.
Declaring the reason for his home visit, Hon Ikim said “After my appointment as a Board Chairman, I deemed it necessary to visit my people on whose shoulders I stand tall today. Apart from that, Ward 11 has more than 12, 000 votes, I also came to confirm that those votes are intact, I am glad to announce that my ward will return Governor Udom Emmanuel and all PDP candidates, one hundred percent.”
At the event, over 120 indigenes of the Ward went home with grants to boost their businesses, while many other youths were said to be among the 400 youths approved by the State government for employment by the Akwa Ibom State environmental Protection and Waste Management Board.
Aside the grants and other benefits, “So far, about 48 motorcycles have been donated to youths across Akwa Ibom State, with his ward being the highest beneficiary with 11 motorcycles and 1 Car.” Ikim Added.
Hon. Ikim thanked his people for believing in the governor Udom Emmanuel’s course, informing them that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, and in the political equation of this season, Udom Emmanuel is the straight line, flanking as the surest distance to their destinies.
He assured his homesteads that liberation has finally come, with Udom Emmanuel on side. And in a rapturous ovations, the agog villagers expressed their unreserved appreciation to the Governor.
Everyone that attended the event from the 11 villages that make up the ward, had reasons to smile home with a token, while the event came to a close as one or the most remarkable one in that clime.
