Udo Kierian Akpan resumes a second term as International President of Ati Annang

For the continuity of his good works, Rt Hon (Sir) Udo Kierian Akpan has again, been sworn in as the international President of Ati Annang, a foremost socio cultural group of Annang, the second largest tribe in Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria.
The leader of the Akwa Ibom State house of Assembly alongside other elected international executive committee members of the foundation were sworn-in at the foundation’s International Secretariat, Ikot Ekpene on Monday April 22, 2019.
Akpan who is returning to the house of Assembly for a third term, is the first President of Ati Annang to be reelected. He emerged unopposed in the election conducted earlier in the year. Other members of the executive that will pilot the affairs of the apex socio Cultural organization in Annang land in the next three years are:

In his speech, the Oruk Anam born political Juggernaut appreciated the members of the organization for the trust reposed on him. The former deputy leader who vowed to surpass the expectations of the members of the organisation, reiterated his second term agenda to include but not limited to: membership welfare, reaching out to the less privilege and sustaining the current projects of Ati Annang like Scholarship Programs, free Health Care delivery, Skill Acquisition and sports development amongst others.
Speaking further, Udo Kierian said “the new EXCO’s immediate task will be to organize this year’s International Convention/Silver Jubilee Anniversary scheduled to take place by August”. Immediately, a committee to plan and execute the event was inaugurated with Hon Aniekan Akpan as the Chairman.
On his part, Board of Trustees Chairman of the foundation, Sir Emem Akpabio expressed gratitude to the outgoing EXCO Members for their contributions towards the growth of the organisation. Akpabio appealed to the new EXCO Members to raise their standards and continue to use the platform of the foundation to foster love, peace and unity, and to attract development and enlightenment to Annang nation.
