PDP is the only party that can guarantee development – AkpanUsoh

The Member representing Esit Eket and Ibeno State Constituency at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Dr. Akpanusoh says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was the only party in Nigeria that can guarantee the development of the country.
Addressing newsmen at his Uyo residence, AkpanUsoro who is the Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation noted that the PDP in Akwa Ibom State witnessed a few trying times towards the end of 2018 which caused a lot of politicians to jump ship into other parties.
According to him, his decision to stick with the PDP was due to the history and the development stride of the PDP in the State and Nigeria.
He disclosed that defection to him was not an option to succeed in his re-election bid because PDP was the only party that can attract development to the State.
Dr. Akpanusoh disclosed that since the inception of PDP in 1998, he has been in the party and has contributed immensely in building and strengthening the party which the devidends to the electorates has been massive empowerment, human capital development, facilitation of constituency projects, educational intervention / support programmes for students studying in higher institutions of learning.
Reacting to the just concluded elections, Dr. Usoro noted PDP won massively in Akwa Ibom because its like a religion in the State.
He maintained that the State Governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel has restored peace and security in Akwa Ibom State
He commended Governor Emmanuel’s ability to attract over 15 industries into the State within the space of 3years which automatically transformed the State from a globally acknowleged civil service State to an industrial hub and the payment of worker’s entitilement as at when due.
Akpanusoh faulted APC’s activities during the build up to the general elections. Noting that instead of the APC to engage in impactful campaigns, they were all moving from one radio station to the other shouting about Federal Might.
Akpanusoh, who has spent almost four years as a first term lawmaker said he has sponsored about 15bills.
