Just like Ambode, Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat are equally qualified to be governor -Lagos APC Chairman
The chapter chairman of the All Progress Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Tunde Balogun says the two contenders for the upcoming APC primary, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat are very qualified to be the governor of Lagos state just like the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode
According to a report by Naij, Balogun insisted that there was no storm in the APC in Lagos state, he noted that it was not unusual for two or three aspirants to be contesting for the same office
“I can’t see any storm anywhere. It is not unusual in a truly democratic setting to have three or more aspirants that would be contesting a particular office.” he noted
“The fact that we have two other aspirants who want to be governor, apart from the sitting governor (Akinwunmi Ambode), who is seeking reelection, is normal.
“The two other candidates (Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat) are equally loyal and committed members of the party and they have the constitutional right to contest any elective office in the country. “I don’t really see anything abnormal in what is happening in Lagos right now.” he added.
