The common man is happy with Buhari – Muazu
Abubakar Habu Mu’azu, a governorship aspirant in Gombe state has declared that Nigerians particularly in the North East are happy with President Muhammadu Buhari because they have enjoyed relative peace since the inception of his administration.
Addressing a meeting of Northeast officials of Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) held at APC zonal headquarters in Bauchi, Muazu said in whatever party the president contested, Nigerians will still vote for him.
“For the elites, definitely there is a problem because there was no business as usual. The elites are crying but the common man is happy because of peace. It is only when we live in peace that we will know that we are hungry. It is when there is peace that you will know that you don’t have money. We thank God that things are gradually getting better and we are out of the recession.
“I assure you he [Buhari] doesn’t have to come to the North East to campaign for him to be elected. We are Ok with the peace we are enjoying, the appointments and projects like the Mambilla Hydro Power project and the establishment of the North East Development Commission as well as the exploration of oil that is going on in the region.
“People are not even talking about the APC, they are talking about president Buhari. So, wherever he goes people will follow him,” he added.
