Extra: Ita Enang is a godfather of confusion and bias
By Nsikak Pius
There is a lot we don’t know about the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matter, Senator Ita Enang. Apart from the fact that he rose from a local government councilor to a Senator, his impact at his home constituency is nothing to write home about.
For the records, the only impacts he has so far recorded for the over 20 years of his political stardom is sprouting false statements which are rather becoming more bizarre. However, hate him or love, you can’t take the fact that the phrase ‘Budget paddling’ was first introduced during his time as the Presidential eyes and ears at the National Assembly. So for that, he deserves some accolades.
Senator Ita Enang record at his constituency makes it very hard if not impossible to pick out any keystone project facilitated and executed by him for the sake of his constituency, either as a councilor, House of Representatives member, Senator or SSA to the President on National Assembly matter.
It is very sad that instead of staying at the forefront of the National Assembly, mediating and following up issues for President Muhammadu Buhari, Ita Enang’s penchant for falsehood and confusion has clued him to local radio stations for the up-to-date propagation of his lies and cheap confusion agenda.
Let me be very clear, if Senator Ita Enang has limited his chic-chat on radio and focus more on engaging with the National Assembly members and Nigerians on matters arising from the National Assembly, the little confusion that dent the relationship between the Presidency and the Legislator wouldn’t have happened.
For Akwa Ibomite who are subject to Enang’s rhetoric, the most alarming element may be what his antecedents has does to us. He is not just destabilizing and bewildering the little strings that bind us together with his constant message of lies but he has established himself as the godfather of confusion and bias.
