PDP will win 2019 Presidential election – Otong
Elder Otong stated this in a chat with newsmen on Friday in Abak Akwa Ibom State.
According to him, the PDP was working very hard to restore Nigeria on the path of development. He thanked the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and the Leadership of the PDP in the State for providing a very conducive environment for the party primaries, which he said will strengthen Internal democracy and inspire the confidence of the people in the PDP.
Otong whose campaign slogan is, “Grace Mandate 2019” disclosed plans to make Abak more United with the formation of Abak Unity forum. He commended the Chairman of Abak LGA for his developmental strides in Abak within a short period of time and promised to work with him for the good for Abak people.
Speaking further on his plans for the people of Abak, Elder Otong who is also the immediate-past chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) noted that apart from sponsoring human capacity development bills, he will also join in the fight against unemployment.
He thanked the PDP and the entire people of Abak for finding him worthy to represent them in the state Assembly and vowed not the let them down.
His statement in part:
“I want to thank governor Udom Emmanuel and the Leadership of the PDP in Akwa Ibom State for providing a very conducive atmosphere for our party primaries.
“Right from the Governorship to the State Assembly we have not recorded any casualties, this is because of the type of person we have in the helm of affairs of our state
“We had a peaceful Congress across the 31 local government area. There was no victor, no vanquish, because we have decided before now to work for the success of PDP and I can assure you PDP will take over Nigeria in 2019”
