A United States based Nigerian Lawyer, Nsikak Pius has blasted former Senate Minority leader Godswill Obot Akpabio and the All Progressives Congress Governorship aspirant in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Nsima Ekere over an alleged plans by the duo and the APC leadership in the State to donate part of Ibeno and Ikono LGA to Fulani herdsmen.
Mr Pius stated this in a chat with our news editor.
According to him, top government officials in the Presidency has already furnished him with details of the agreement. He noted that the decision of the Presidency to declare Akwa Ibom a flash point with the intention of flooding the army to Akwa Ibom was part of the rigging plans of the APC and part of the agreement.
Mr Pius advised Akwa Ibom people to be vigilant and be ready to protect their votes on Saturday March 9th.
Reacting to Mr Pius allegations, the President of Akwa Ibom Demcratic Alliance, Collin Bassey described Pius stands as delusional.
According to him, the insinuation from different fora that APC leaders in Akwa Ibom were bent on allocating plot of land to Fulani Herdsmen in exchange for the governorship seat was baseless
“Yes, we have so many desperate people in APC but I don’t think they will be desperate enough to sell of Akwa Ibom” he stated.
“The APC may have lost out in Akwa Ibom on February 23rd, but I want to assure you that March 9th will be different
